Our Collins Place Style Director, Adam Isles has been travelling the world presenting his creative hairdressing and gaining priceless training as a member of the Australian F.A.M.E. Team.
Each year talented hairdressers, from around Australia and under the age of 35, compete for one of four places on the F.A.M.E Team, submitting a five-page, designed submission in a bid to win career opportunities of a lifetime.
Once shortlisted, finalist undergo rigorous, practical testing for a full day in Sydney. Adam was named a 2016 F.A.M.E. Team member in March this year at the Australian Hair Fashion Awards.
Since then he has undergone training and demonstrated his respected skills to hairdressers around Australia and the world.
Currently he is in the midst of the best European hairdressing adventure imaginable. A highlight, so far, has been presentations at the world-renowned Salon International in London in mid-October. He and fellow team members worked with international session stylist Alan White to present edgy, creative looks that demonstrated precision and fashion zeitgeist. He has also spent time with industry mentors like three-time British Hairdresser of the Year, Anthony Mascolo, Bruce Masefield of the Sassoon Academy, Adam Reed of Percy and Reed and Tyler Johnson of Tyler J Hair.
In Paris, Adam trained at the headquarters of a boutique product company. Adam will return to rokk ebony to share his experiences and newly learned skills with the entire team. We look forward to report what’s next from our rising star, Adam!
